Thrilled to share Dr. Catherine (Katie) Sanders passed her dissertation defense with flying colors on January 17th. Paving the way for amazing things, Katie is the first to complete this crucial step in the new ALEC PhD program and did us proud showing us all how it is done, and done well! Her research, titled Leveraging Identity and Culturally Responsive Evaluation for Cooperative Extension: Implications for Communicating Impact, used creative qualitative techniques to identify best practices for evaluating community-based Extension initiatives impacting the food system. Her work was part of, and contributed to, the CDC-funded Healthier Together project. Katie will graduate with her PhD from the University of Georgia in Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication in May, 2023. Congratulations Katie on such an amazing achievement!
