Many think that technology adoption, especially when it is designed to solve with the same problem, would be adopted at the same rate. Dr. Alexa Lamm and her colleagues found this wasn’t true in the case of nursery and greenhouse growers as part of the WateR3 project, funded by the USDA SCRI. In fact, growers have adopted water conservation technologies at a much higher rate (76%) as compared to water treatment technologies (42%). They wondered why so explored decision making models that were shared at the International Horticulture Congress in Angers, France where over 2600 participants from 87 different countries came together to share the latest research related to Horticultural Sciences. Their work will soon be published in Acta Horticulturae.
