In the Lamm Lab’s latest study published in Water, graduate research assistants Kristin Gibson and Allison Fortner worked with Dr. Alexa Lamm and Dr. Laura Warner (University of Florida) to conduct a cluster analysis on a dataset obtained from a sample of U.S. residents to explore how to best communicate with consumers that have the most room to improve their water conservation efforts.

Findings indicated that those who need to conserve water the most are more likely to respond to messaging that reduces scientific jargon, aligns messaging with moderate/conservative political beliefs, and emphasizes the economic value associated with conserving water.
