Alexa Lamm delivers results of the CDC High Obesity Program, Healthier Together Calhoun, to residents of Calhoun County.

On March 22nd, 2022, Alexa Lamm and Kristin Gibson traveled to Calhoun County, Georgia to deliver the results of the UGA ALEC Evaluation team’s report for the 2020-2021 year. Dr. Lamm presented the results of the project as reported by members of the Healthier Together Calhoun Coalition during listening sessions in 2021. Lamm then conducted a visioning session with community members where they explained what they would like to see come from the project over the next year (2022-2023).

Overall, coalition members found the project had a positive impact on their community but were interested in more opportunities for increased use of physical activity resources. A link to the 2020-2021 Healthier Together Calhoun Evaluation report can be found here.

The evaluation described here is part of Sanders and Lamm’s work with Healthier Together Georgia across five rural counties in the state. Click here for more information about this project.
