Over the past few days, Dennis has been in Milwaukee attending the annual Plant Biology Conference organized by the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB). The 2025 conference runs from July 26 to July 30 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
As a member of the African Research Network (ARN-ASPB), Dennis helped organize this year’s ARN workshop, which brings together plant scientists from various backgrounds to showcase their research through collaborative competitions and networking activities.

With his experience as a fellow in ASPB’s science communication program, Plantae, and having served as its editor for two years, Dennis was also selected as a conference correspondent. These correspondents provide insightful summaries, interviews, and on-site perspectives during the event, which are shared with the ASPB community each day. Dennis joins two others in this role.

Plant Biology connects global members of the plant science community to expand knowledge, build networks, and develop skills vital for advancing plant sciences and careers.
