Dr. Alexa Lamm gave the final presentation at the International Role of Meat and Livestock and Society Summit in Denver, CO on October 31, 2024. Over 150 invited agricultural scientists, producers, media, and allied industry stakeholders were present over the two days where science covering the nutritional, environmental, and social aspects of meat consumption and production were presented and discussed. Lamm closed the Summit sharing her thoughts on how we build trust, embrace innovation, and stretch ourselves to think differently about science and what it means to policymakers and consumers. She introduced a new model which will be published in a Special Issue of Animal Frontiers in February, 2025 that can be used as a foundation for effective science communication.
