The Lamm Lab serves as the evaluator of the CDC-funded Healthier Together project in collaboration with the UGA College of Public Health, UGA Extension, UGA College of Environment and Design, and the UGA College of Family and Consumer Sciences. Each year the annual evaluation results are shared with the community coalition using an appreciative lens to encourage celebrations of successes and promote positive visioning for the future.

Katie Sanders led a discussion with Clay County community members that resulted in positive discussions regarding the establishment of new Grab-n-Go coolers in the county, involving youth in healthy eating opportunities, connecting with the schools to encourage walking trail use to improve physical activity, and developing a plan for a community-wide celebration when the Jefferson Park project is completed providing a wonderful community space to exercise, walk, play basketball and gather together.

The future of Healthier Together Clay County looks bright with these folks leading the way!
