After being home for a few days and fully recovering from my time abroad, I’m given the opportunity to reflect on last month. My time in Costa Rica felt like a dream. I woke up in my own bed that first morning back and it felt so strange. I didn’t hear any Great Kiskadees chirping…

The day we flew into Italy was crazy. We got on our flight at around 7 pm EST and arrived in Rome at about 10:30 am in their time zone (about a 9 hour flight, overnight). We met up with the rest of the group, got on a bus, rode three hours to Pompeii, put…

As I look back on the three and a half weeks I spent in Italy, I knew partaking in a study abroad was a great decision and I would make it again if given the opportunity. Academically, it was amazing to see how the information we learned in class regarding grape and wine production were…

    June 7, 2017

I have never been more excited or nervous for a trip in my life. I’m so excited to head to Italy and experience the culture and the beauty it has to offer. On the other hand I am very nervous about traveling alone for the first time (I’m sure my mom is nervous too!).  So…

    June 7, 2017

On May 7th I will be traveling from Atlanta to Cortona, Italy to begin studying Viticulture and Enology! This will be my second visit to Italy, as I have previously traveled with my family to Venice, Rome, and Florence. This experience is going to be entirely different though, as I will stay in Cortona for…

    June 7, 2017

This was definitely the most exciting thing for me. I can now say that I celebrated my 20th birthday by watching the sunset on the Eiffel Tower. I’ve never had such an exploratory birthday where we walked around Paris for around 10 miles and saw the most amazing views! We started my birthday off by…

    June 7, 2017

To begin, I never fully understood how people can sit on a plane for 9-12 hours. Just the thought of sitting there for that long and getting up only to go to the bathroom makes me nervous. This was just the plane ride fears! I’ve never traveled abroad to Europe before, so I don’t really…
