Biography
Alyssa Wang is an undergraduate researcher in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Physiology with a minor in Dance through the Morehead Honors College. Alyssa joined the Lamm Lab to expand her experience in science communication, public engagement, and applied research. Her campus involvement includes membership in Alpha Xi Delta and the UGA Red Hotz dance team, where she contributes to service initiatives, community building, and competitive performance. Alyssa has also gained professional experience through outreach-focused internships and roles that strengthened her skills in communication, leadership, and working with diverse communities. She looks forward to contributing to the mission of the Lamm Lab and further developing her research skills.
Research Interests
Alyssa’s research interests include science communication, public engagement, and the connection between science and the arts. She is particularly interested in how creative approaches can strengthen understanding, trust, and accessibility in scientific and health-related fields.
