The Lamm Lab celebrated the end of spring semester and the academic year by a lab lunch outing at a local favorite Thai spot in Athens. Lab members shared their plans for summer research – including dissertation writing, comprehensive exams, travel to conferences, summer classes, and hosting undergraduate researchers.
Dr. Lamm also shared updates on recent projects and encouraged lab members about the possibilities of upcoming grant projects. The Lamm Lab is looking forward to an eventful summer season but relished the time to catch up personally and professionally before diving into final exams and grant deadlines.
Though she isn’t pictured, we are all anticipating the graduation of one of the UGA ALEC Department’s first two PhD students and member of our very own lab, Dr. Katie Sanders, who will be hooded at the graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 11.
Be on the lookout for Lamm Lab publications and conferences this summer! We’re looking forward to sharing our research through papers and presentations while squeezing in a bit of summer relaxation time, too.
