What do African countries do when they face the challenge of personnel shortages in rural advisory services? The Malawi Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (MaFAAS) is striving to assist during times of extension personnel shortages.
This case study examined the impact of a country for a network on ensuring farmers get the support they need. The qualitative research approach examined in-depth the effects of MaFAAS and its partners in their efforts to educate rural youth in agricultural extension.
Lamm Lab researchers Alexa J. Lamm and Millicent A. Oyugi contributed to this research in partnership with Kevan Lamm, Kristin Davis, Silim Nahdy, and Fallys Masambuka-Kanchewa, a previous post-doctoral scholar in the Lamm Lab.
