We all do it… no one admits to it though! You take 50 pictures of the exact same thing just so you can get the perfect trendy angle. Being an agricultural communication major, I have learned to appreciate the value of a great picture and lively social media. Perfect lighting, prime angle, steady hands are…

HELP WANTED! How do you condense ten fantastic days on the road in breathtaking Scotland down to one blog post. CONCLUSION: You can’t! So here is what I’ve decided to do, take the best moments and break them down into a few different categories: sweet memories, shock-factors, laughable moments, and lessons learned. Sweet Memories: Little…

Before enrolling at the University of Georgia, I did not have aspirations of taking part in a study abroad opportunity of any type. As I stated briefly in a previous blog post, I’m not someone that just jumps out and takes lots of risks in life. However, after attending an event on campus where this…

On the plane ride back home, I had a lot of mixed emotions. I honestly wish I could stay a little longer and explore more of the country. I was definitely not ready to get back into the grind of school because I know the end of the semester is quickly approaching. Though, I was…

I wanted to share one of the best days of the trip in my opinion. We traveled to a ranch outside of Trienta y Tres in Uruguay to a ranch called El Paraíso. The ranch was owned by a man named Jose. Jose opened up his home for us to learn about his cattle operation…

This study abroad trip to Uruguay was one of the most rewarding experiences. The country itself was very beautiful, and the locals were very nice. We stayed in hotels with nice accommodations in three different cities. There was a large language barrier, which made even simple things like ordering in a restaurant confusing at times.…

After two weeks being here, everything has finally fallen into place! As an international student, I was nervous about finding a group of friends to travel with and enjoy my time here with. But this was the easiest part! The international community here is amazing. We all get along, we all hang out and we…

Sam, Joseph, and I are heading to the airport to catch our 6:45 flight. Traffic was bad, but company was good. A long plane ride awaits. The constant fear of leaving something like my passport was lingering in my mind. I kept checking my pockets and bag making sure I had everything I need. Prior…
