  • Funny Story from Switzerland

    Maria Levy

    July 1, 2022

Yes, that picture is in fact a real place. I went there on a weekend when I didn’t have any work to do (woo hoo!). The other intern and I, Pauline, decided the day before we went that we wanted to explore the country more. Luckily, we are only an hour away from the most…

  • Chocolate, Chocolate, and More Chocolate!

    Madeline Butler

    July 1, 2022

I obviously can’t go on a study abroad about chocolate and not talk about chocolate! The purpose of our trip was to learn about the science, history and culture of chocolate. We visited multiple different types of cacao farms, chocolate production factories, we lectured on every part of the process of turning a cacao bean…

  • Multitudes of Old Havana

    Kyla Horne

    July 1, 2022

There are many stories found in Old Havana. It’s a very sacred place for Cuban architecture and takes on the importance of reserving Cuban history. There were lots of fun moments held here: from eating delicious mango ice cream and chocolates with friends, listening to local bands at restaurants, to observing the lively nightlife the…

  • Casas particulares

    Kyla Horne

    July 1, 2022

One word to describe the Casa particulares is “home.” As soon as my housemate and I stepped foot into la casa de Migdalia we instantly felt welcomed. We learned so much from her regardless of some of the language barriers. She would always conduct general maintenance of our rooms when my housemate and I went…

  • The breathtaking Malecón

    Kyla Horne

    July 1, 2022

El Malecón held a very special place for me during my trip here in Vedado, Cuba. This boardwalk is over 4.5 kilometers along the coast of Havana and carried the most spectacular view. It’s a place for decompressing and reflecting. It’s a place where your eyes can choose to watch and fall in love with…

  • European Architecture and Design

    Madison Reynolds

    June 30, 2022

One of the most astounding things about Europe, when compared to the United States, is the architecture. Due to the fact that Europe is a much older country than America, there is so much more history behind its architecture and cities. A common theme that can be seen in the cities that we visited on…

  • Eating Through Spain

    Madison Reynolds

    June 30, 2022

Food is often taken for granted. Yes, it is a way of keeping our bodies nourished and healthy, but it is also a way of conveying emotion, connecting with others, and breaking barriers between people. Just recently I took part in the Spain Study Abroad program through the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences here…

  • A Weekend Away

    Audrey Thacker

    June 30, 2022

One of my favorite memories from my study abroad trip to Cortona was the second to last weekend when my roommates & I left town to check out some other areas in Italy. Our exams were all Saturday mornings at 8:30 which may seem frustrating but it allowed us to get an early start on…

  • A Sad Goodbye

    Audrey Thacker

    June 30, 2022

Finishing the maymester and packing up to leave was very bitter-sweet. In this picture, you can see strangers that became friends and our beloved TA just before the banquet. Of course I was excited to see my friends and my family that I had missed while I was away but in Cortona, I made so…

  • My Favorite

    Elizabeth Griggs

    June 30, 2022

Everytime someone asks me what I enjoyed the most in Morocco, I tend to say something different. My answer is never the same, and it seems that my favorite thing really just depends on my mood at the time I’m asked. Though I’ve given it lots of thought, I really can’t choose a favorite day…
