In collaboration with James Harwood’s group at the University of Kentucky, we are using PCR to indentify prey species within predator’s stomachs. This is a powerful technique, which will eventually allow us to draw food webs based on the feeding habits of predators collected directly from the field. This project is supported by a variety of state and federal funding sources.
