  • And Uruguay is Where?

    kaylaj95

    March 25, 2016

I’ll be totally honest. When I saw that there was an opportunity to study abroad and learn about sustainable agriculture and beef production, I was immediately hooked! However, I probably couldn’t point out on a map exactly where Uruguay even is. So, when I got accepted, I started doing research. “Where is Uruguay? What language…

The scenery is gorgeous! I have never seen something so green before! We have been here a few days but have experienced so much in those few days. First of all, the meals here are bigger than back in the states. They seem to believe in three course meals everyday and not just at fancy…

The foundation of the Scotland study abroad program is service learning, and one of our projects is helping the students and staff of Troqueer Primary School utilize some new funding to promote sustainability and global citizenship through a school garden. Throughout the semester we have been told that we would be blown away by the environment…

  • Why I study abroad?

    Jonathan Moss

    March 18, 2016

Without a doubt, it is one of the most common questions I’m asked after I tell people how I just finished my second study abroad with the University of Georgia. It is definitely something that can not be wrapped up in just a few sentences. I personally believe, without a doubt, that there is a…

  • Uruguay + Bruno = THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME

    March 18, 2016

Just in case you were wondering Uruguay is a beautiful place! Seriously, if you’ve never looked into Uruguay, I encourage you to use whatever device you have in your hands right now and look at more pictures. But something that you may not be able to find in the thousands of pictures of Uruguay on Google,…

    vrw81246

    March 18, 2016

Settling back into a normal routine that doesn’t involve carbonated water and electrical adapters has been the routine of the last few days since we got home. The laundry is still piled up and needing to be folded, the homework is still there, and the urge to go back is ever pressing. The flights home…

    March 17, 2016

It really is a shame that the study abroad to Uruguay had to come to an end. Going into the trip, I was amped up and really eager to get learn and  see first hand another country’s agricultural production system. Whenever I hype something up before it happens, I am often let down because the…

  • Let’s kidnap Bruno

    cpm50913

    March 17, 2016

Bruno is the culmination of the perfect person. On our trip in Uruguay, he was our tour guide, host, mentor, comedian, and translator all wrapped into one person. Once our group had landed in Montevideo, Bruno greeted each one of us individually with a smile. I shook his hand and was about to tell him…
