    Sergio Alcantar

    July 24, 2018

When you walking around a city you don’t know in the U.S. you may feel lost, but you can always manage around because the people speak English and you can ask for directions. However, when you’re in another country that does not use English as their primary language it can be a little intimidating when…

    July 24, 2018

Before I left for my trip in Ecuador I went through 3 phases. 1: Excitement 2: Nervousness and 3: A feeling of being ready. The first phase was sheer excitement. I had always wanted to study abroad, and I’ve never been to South America. I was so excited because I felt like this was the…

    July 2, 2018

Sooo on my way home I was up for a total of 28 hours. Yea that’s right 28. Way too many, if you were wondering. My flight was delayed, delayed again, and oh you guessed it, delayed a total 3 times. I was exhausted to say the least. Seeing my family again was the best.…

    Haley Parker

    July 2, 2018

So this language barrier thing, yes it is very real. And extremely difficult to deal with. No one actually addressed to me how difficult it was going to be to go to a foreign country where the only word I knew how to say was “Hello”. After about the second day I had a real…

Before this trip I didn’t know what to expect at all. To be honest, I hadn’t really read the schedule I was just going to take the trip as it came. I was super excited for being out of the country, but very nervous about missing my family. My parents were nervous about some recent…

My favorite day from this adventure, was visiting with an Amazonian community. We spent the morning hiking through the muddy amazon, in our rainboots, to reach a community an hour and a half later. Once there, we were taught how to make chocolate from start to finish, fed a fish lunch (which still had the…

    Garrett Ford

    June 29, 2018

Part one of my internship in France this summer has concluded. I have spent the past five weeks working alongside these two gentlemen in the gardens at Château d’Acquigny, about one hour due northwest of Paris. It was quite the experience and I know that I will cherish the time that I spent here. Each…
