We have been home for about 4 days and I thought life would slow down a bit, but it hasn’t. Between analyzing data and adjusting to the time change, I still feel like I haven’t settled in. Taking a minute to step away from my group and trip,  I’m walking away with such gratitude. I…

Whew! What a long day. We spent the day taking a bus tour of the Highlands of Scotland. My favorite part of today was taking a boat tour of Loch Ness. During my childhood, my mother (who is Irish) used to tell us and sing about different folk tales of Scotland and Ireland. I spent…

As I am sitting here reflecting on the trip to Scotland, all I can think about is how blessed I am to be a student at The University of Georgia. More importantly, blessed to be a student in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. The opportunities afforded to the students in our college are…

My days spent traveling in London and Scotland were filled with nothing but the best memories. We spent a lot of time with our book bags strapped up and cellphone in hand trying to capture pictures. We rode many of trains, walked lots of miles, and climbed LOTS of stairs with those book bags, but…

What an awesome 10 days. From sight-seeing, getting to know the others on the trip, to teaching primary children at Troqueer Primary School. I have definitely grown as a person by being opened to this slightly new culture. I also have a new appreciation for God’s creations and how different the world is from Georgia.…

I was stressed for no reason. This place is beautiful! The 8hr flight was really not that bad and London is fantastic. I have been very exhausted, but the lack of sleep is totally worth it. The trains have been my favorite part so far. They ensure me that I am not in the U.S.…

I have been waiting for this trip for months! I didn’t really have anything in my mind what I was getting into since I have never been to another country. But, so far I have been very impressed from an agricultural view.  We have seen some awesome operations and learned so much from management practices…

Our time in Uruguay is coming to an end, but the experiences and memories I’ve had along the way will stay with me forever. It’s our second to last day, and we’ve traveled what seems like the entirety of the country. Visiting the cities and different farms has been amazing, but my favorite day has…
