London!

We left Atlanta around 6:45 PM and landed in London around 7 AM. The flight was really long, and I only managed to get about two hours of sleep the entire flight.  Food on a plane is a bit strange, but surprisingly not that bad. Once we got to London, we went straight to the hotel to drop our bags. Then, we got to explore!  Dr. Rubenstein knew London like the back of his hand, and I’m glad he did, because I would’ve been lost as soon as I left the hotel.  We visited Kings Cross, Buckingham Palace, St. James Park, Westminster Abbey, the Eye of London, Big Ben, and Piccadilly Circus. We had a full day of exploring and sight-seeing, and then went to dinner at a local pub. The day was so much fun, and London was beautiful, but I was so ready for some sleep. We had to get up early the next morning to catch the train to Dumfries.

We did get to spend our last day on the trip in London again.  We had a free day to do or go wherever we wanted. My group went back to Buckingham and Westminster Abbey. Then we made our way down to Hyde Park and then Harrods, the department store. We were able to navigate the tubes really easy surprisingly. After we had explored a while, we took the tube again to meet the rest of the group at a Brazilian steak house for dinner. After dinner, we went to see Hamilton.

After Hamilton, we walked back to the underground and boarded the tube. We rode the tube to the very last stop which was at the airport. Our hotel was connected to the airport. We got our luggage out of one room an went to our own. Then we prepared for the flight home the next morning.
