It was different not going home and spending time with the family for Thanksgiving, but it was completely worth it. We started the day with lab at 8:30am, learning various ways to brew coffee. I had no idea there were so many different methods of brewing. It was nice to try them all and find my favorite, I needed some coffee being up that early anyway. After lunch we learned about the biodigestor and sustainability efforts of the UGA Costa Rica Campus. Awesome to see the efforts to reduce the impact on the environment! Finally we gathered around the table for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, after rice and beans all week turkey was a great change. I might not have been at home this Thanksgiving but I was with my UGA family and it made it special all the same.
