The fresh mountain air of Costa Rica went unnoticed until my return to Athens, and I cannot help but notice the stink of the city permeating the air. What an informative and busy ten day adventure we have just completed. I feel very knowledgable about all the aspects of coffee production; everything from the physiology of the coffee cherry itself, to processing, brewing techniques, and taste characteristics are very much familiar territory after this trip. I feel so much gratitude for our professors and bus driver who safely got us to and from each of our daily activities, and facilitates such a fun and educational experience. I have never studied abroad before, so I cherish this taste taste of the international academic experience.
