Departure day crept up on me! With finals ending just a few days before we left, I hardly had any time to decide what to pack so I hope I have everything I need! I am so excited to visit all the places on our itinerary- 5 countries in only 18 days! I am still having a hard time wrapping my brain around how much travelling I will be doing in the next 3 weeks. Our pre-trip orientations have definitely prepared me for what to expect, but I am still a little nervous. I don’t know much Italian or French beside the basics like “hello” and “thank you,” but I am hoping to learn more as we travel. I have never traveled outside the U.S., so I am really looking forward to seeing what life is like outside the borders of Georgia. My grandparents have traveled to many of the places we are planning to visit and throughout my childhood I loved hearing their stories about their time abroad. I have always wanted to travel to these places myself, which is why I chose the Art and Garden Tour of Europe trip. I am looking forward to learning about new cultures and languages, eating new types of food, and learning about art and garden history. I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to visit 5 countries in only 18 days and I am definitely going to make the most of it!
