Growing up in a small town of roughly 6000 people in north Georgia, leaving the country for three weeks to stay in France will be quite an adjustment. I feel that the toughest part of this trip will be the language barrier. In different parts of the US, I have experienced a language barrier due to my accent. Even my roommates in Athens joke about the way I say certain words! Knowing the difficulty I have had ordering in restaurants in New York and Colorado, I can only imagine the difficulties I might face in a place where it is a completely different language. However, I am very excited to see what these three weeks bring!
