Now that I am back home, all my friends (and my mom) want me to try their wines and teach them all that I learned in Italy. I must say, it’s not a bad thing to come home to. I can explain the difference between acidity and tannins, and can describe a multitude of shades of red.

However, I didn’t just learn about wine while in Italy. I learned that trains are the best thing ever, it is possible to eat four cones of gelato for lunch, traveling by yourself to 4 Italian towns in one week will teach you a thing or two about standing up for yourself, and when in Cortona, go to Mario’s. I made countless friends and so many memories that will last a lifetime.

I can’t wait until I get to go back!
