Translation – see you in a week, Costa Rica. Wow, I can’t believe there’s only 7 days until we leave for Costa Rica! It seemed so far away, and now there’s only one very busy week keeping me from this trip. I can’t decide if I’m nervous or not – I know my parents are. I’m apprehensive about not speaking Spanish, since that is the language spoken there, and the last time I took a Spanish class was in high school. Other than that, I think I’m just excited. I get to meet new people, as well as get to know people I don’t know very well. I get to learn about and be immersed in the process of creating my favorite drink, see the UGA Costa Rica campus (which looks amazing in pictures), go ziplining. How cool is that?? I’m also really, really excited about the weather down there, because winter has already hit here in Georgia. I’ve already started packing, because I feel like the faster I’m ready to go, the faster it’ll come! Luckily I have a lot of the stuff we need already, so that hasn’t been too much of a stress.
This is such an amazing opportunity that not many people have, and I’m so thankful I get to go. Now it just needs to get here!
