Well, we’re in La Selva Biological Station right now. We leave tomorrow for Hacienda Baru, which is our last place and will take several hours of traveling to get to! The first two weeks have flown by! I can’t believe that we’re almost done with our trip. Acclimating to the weather and the food is the hardest part. I didn’t think they were serious when they said there would be rice and beans for every meal, but they were. The craziest part, though, is that it will be sunny one minute and the next it will be pouring.

So far my favorite place that we visited was Monteverde. We got to stay at the reserve, which was great because we got to see things that other people who are just visiting weren’t able to, like several Quetzals and Bell Birds. Our tour guide still got excited every time we saw the Quetzal and he grew up on the Reserve. They’re beautiful birds and I’ll be sure to post pictures in my next post! We also got to go Zip lining. I didn’t let my fear of heights stop me and I’m so glad that I didn’t because it was so much fun!
