During my second free weekend in France a few of my friends and I had decided that we wanted to do a short day trip. We researched cities near Toulouse and we found many cities that interested us with amazing views and fun things to do. However, there was one place that stuck out to us, and that was Lourdes, France. Lourdes is a pilgrimage site for many Roman Catholics. This is due to the apparitions of Mary seen by Saint Bernadette in one of the caves there. A spring runs from the cave and many consider the water that flows from it to have healing powers. The cathedral and the views of the Pyrenees from on top of a castle in the middle of the city were beautiful. This was by far one of the most rewarding trips I took during my time in France. I have included some pictures of Lourdes, and the group of us that went on the trip!
