Bruno is the culmination of the perfect person. On our trip in Uruguay, he was our tour guide, host, mentor, comedian, and translator all wrapped into one person. Once our group had landed in Montevideo, Bruno greeted each one of us individually with a smile. I shook his hand and was about to tell him my name, but before I could say anything he looked at me and said “It’s wonderful having you here Christian.” From that moment on I knew there was something special about Bruno. Little did I know, taking the time to put every face with a name before we had even arrived in Uruguay was the least Bruno was about to do during the trip. Bruno was a wonderful host and a wonderful person to be around. He bent over backwards to give each and every one of us the best experience humanly possible. He had invested in us like we were his own kids, and for that reason is why the study abroad was so memorable to me and to everyone else. Bruno, if you’re reading this, I hope you know how much you made the trip mean to all of us. I really will miss it and you!
