One of my favorite adventures during my stay in Costa Rica was ziplining! Surprisingly, everyone participated and conquered their fear of heights. As we ascended into the cloud forest, I could see more and more of the lush forest and mountains below. I will never forget the view as I flew across the lines. Some lines were so long that we had to go tandem because the weight of one person was not enough to make it all the way across. This required some faith in your partner to follow the instructions for a smooth stop. Thankfully, we all made it out just fine.
If you ever get the chance to zipline in the future, take the risk and go! Here are a few tips.
- Dress in layers – it gets cold up in the canopy.
- Be prepared for mud and rain to pelt your face.
- Have fun and smile for the camera, but don’t lose your phone in the process!
Costa Rica did not disappoint!
