Improving Housing in the Communities Where I Live & Work through Servant Leadership with Habitat for Humanity
I am working to exemplify servant leadership to those around me through volunteering at my local Habitat for Humanity in Greene and Morgan Counties. My primary focus is improving my local community by donating my time and energy while influencing others to follow. I have volunteered with the Greene County Habitat Restore, which accepts, organizes, and resells donated household items to fundraise for future projects. I have also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Morgan County, which has recently started a new construction project on a single-family residence. It has already been amazing to be a part of this project and to see the recipient family have joy from realizing the dream of owning a home they are helping build.
“The goal is to help Habitat for Humanity to have a larger impact locally by fundraising and volunteering my time to build homes for local families in need.”
