Neighbors helping neighbors is a community bulletin which will enable members of their community to help others when life deals them a hard hand. Whether it’s bringing meals home for people dealing with health issues or providing diapers for single mothers or new parents financially stretched thin. This micropage that can be linked to any municipal website will show citizens which of their closest neighbors are struggling in some form or fashion and provide them with ways they can contribute to help out within their community. I have seen first hand how hard life gets when you have a difficult stage and simply doing the things you could before is no longer a possibility. We see churches help out all of the time and that has been a blessing to my own family. But this project will give opportunities to connect more people than just the parishioners of your local churches. By showing opening who in the community could use a meal, clean roof, a ride to doctors office, or help making ends meet my aim is to give a reason for communities to grow stronger together by serving each other, specifically those who you would have never met otherwise.

“The obvious impacts would be a stronger sense of community giving residents a sense of responsibility and duty to ensuring everyone has a sense of belonging and preventing the feeling that you are alone on your own when times get tough. This project is not meant to have the financial support of municipal governments rather than provide the opportunity for individuals to personally invest in the city they live in. My idea is that members of a community will be more effective at providing help and better create an environment of social connectedness if volunteer and philanthropic efforts are privatized. My community has grown so much in the last 15 years to the point where you only know the neighbors in you immediate sphere of influence and I truly believe that we are capable of bringing back the feeling of small town feel ushering in a higher trust society by getting personally involved in the well being of your neighbors lives.
