The primary focus of our research is on the etiology, epidemiology, and genomics of emerging and re-emerging viruses and the application of advances in genomics and molecular biology tools for the management of virus diseases on economically important crops. Specific areas addressed by the group include:
- Etiology, epidemiology, and management of Cotton leafroll dwarf disease
- Application of conventional, molecular, and biotechnological tools to understand diversity and management of viruses in agricultural crops
- Development of diagnostic tools for economically important viruses
