About us

The primary focus of our research is on the etiology, epidemiology, and genomics of emerging and re-emerging viruses and the application of advances in genomics and molecular biology tools for the management of virus diseases on economically important crops. Specific areas addressed by the group include:

  • Etiology, epidemiology, and management of Cotton leafroll dwarf disease
  • Application of conventional, molecular and biotechnological tools to understand diversity and management of insect-transmitted viruses of Cotton, peanuts, vegetables, and tobacco
  • Development of diagnostic tools for economically important viruses
