Earlier this month (Feb 5th), Georgia blueberry growers and UGA researchers visited with the leadership of Georgia Department of Agriculture and Commissioner Gary W. Black to discuss potential avenues to secure research funding in order to find appropriate solutions to the major problems facing blueberry industry in the state, such as spotted wing drosophila (SWD).
