Emily was one of three graduate students selected to represent UGA at the AAAS Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering Workshop. During the workshop Emily had a chance to meet with Congresswoman Nikema Williams who represents Georgia’s 5th District. She also had a behind the scenes tour of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History with Dr. Floyd Shockley, an alumnus of the UGA Department of Entomology. We are so proud of Emily bringing her genuine self and scientific expertise to explore diverse career opportunities.
