The 11th International Conference of the Peanut Research Community on Advances in Arachis through Genomics and Biotechnology (AAGB-2019) is calling for abstracts to present a poster or talk at the conference this fall. The deadline is July 1. Visit here for more information on submitting an abstract.

Since it began in 2006, the International Peanut Conference has provided a platform for scientific exchange to take place between members of the global peanut community. In the past, researchers that are part of this community have worked through the International Peanut Initiative (IPGI) to integrate genetics, genomics and biotechnology approaches to mitigate economic risks of peanut production. Through the IPGI project, researchers developed effective and environmentally sustainable solutions to problems related to peanut production.

This year at AAGB-2019 members of the international peanut research community will discuss what is next for the international peanut conference now that the IPGI project is complete.

AAGB-2019 will take place October 21-25, 2019 in Ji’nan, China, also known as the Spring-Water City. Ji’nan is the Capital of the Shandong Province, which grows an average of 800,000 hectares of peanuts a year.
