The World Food Prize announced this week that African Development Bank president Akinwumi Adesina has won the prestigious World Food Prize for his work to boost yields and farm incomes.
Recognizing how important, yet inaccessible, inputs are to African farmers, Adesina and the ADB launched a system of agro-dealerships that has spread across the continent.
The World Food Prize was founded in 1986 by Dr. Norman E Borlaug, recipient of the 1970 Nobel Peace Prize.
