PMIL scientist Bob Kemerait, a plant pathologist at the University of Georgia, recently wrote a personal column for Southeast Farm Press, explaining why he does work in Haiti.

Bob Kemerait (far right) inspects a peanut plant in Haiti with former UGA College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Dean Scott Angle, PMIL director Dave Hoisington and others.

Anyone who knows Bob knows how much he likes to share stories and photos. But, he does a particularly good job in this piece introducing two children who depend on peanuts and whose lives will be different depending in the advances in research and extension.

Check out the piece and share with people who will appreciate the insight.

Thanks again, Bob, for sharing your stories and photos of Haiti and how peanut research can make a difference to people.

Here’s a link to the story, which posted Thursday.
