Division 2 – State Epsilon Sigma Phi Awards
The following awards are for State Level Recognition only. They must be applied for using the ESP Retiree Service Award, New Extension Professional Award & Meritorious Support Service Award form.
New Extension Professional Award – 1 per District
The award recognizes new Extension Professionals who have excelled in their first one to three years of service.
The application should be completed. Please attach a Statement (one page maximum) describing how the nominee has excelled in excelling in the work of the mission and programs of Cooperative Extension. Please download the application and submit by email to cashburn@uga.edu.
Excellence in Support Service Award – 1 per District
The award recognizes an employee in a support service role for significant contributions to Extension effectiveness. All classified positions including secretaries, program assistants, etc. are eligible.
The application should be completed. Please attach a Statement (one page maximum) describing how the nominee has excelled in providing support for the mission, program and professional staff of UGA Extension. Maximum page length of application is 2 pages. Please download the application and submit by email to cashburn@uga.edu. The State Level winner will be our National Award nominee.
Retiree Service Award
Recognition for continuing contributions and outstanding service to the Extension Service, must be a life member of ESP.
The application should be completed. Please attach a Statement (one page maximum) describing how the nominee has excelled in providing support for the mission, program and professional staff of UGA Extension. Maximum page length of application is 2 pages. Please download the application and submit by email to cashburn@uga.edu. The State Level winner will be our National Award nominee.

The following scholarships may be used to support academic or other professional improvement activities.
Two ESP Professional Development Fellowships – $500 each
Objective: To encourage, stimulate, and support professional development through participation in courses, seminars, conferences or workshops. To apply, please download and complete the application. Please submit application by email to cashburn@uga.edu.
Tal Duvall Fellowship – $500
Objective: To encourage, stimulate, and support an ESP member seeking financial aid for academic work. To apply, please download and complete the application. Please submit application by email to cashburn@uga.edu.
