Vector Physiology – Symbiosis – Entomology

Things are moving right along here in Georgia. Two new graduate students, Nia Myers and Carissa Gilliland, joined the lab, while Bren and Anthony were both awarded undergraduate research assistantships for the fall semester!

The Vogel lab studies the physiology of insect disease vectors, primarily mosquitoes. We’re exploring how microbes influence larval mosquito development and how peptide hormones regulate mosquito reproduction.
