President Obama received a standing ovation when he announced on Wednesday that he had signed the Global Food Security Act, a bill that codifies Feed the Future into federal law.
“You’re not surprised I signed it, right?” the president joked with a crowd gathered for a White House Summit for Global Development, a day of panel discussions about nutrition, global health and development. PMIL Director David Hoisington was among the invited guests.
