The Thought for Food initiative is seeking proposals for research projects that advance understanding of the sustainability of food systems and explore innovative solutions to achieve it. Successful proposals may include a new collaboration between different types of disciplines with a specific focus on combining natural and social sciences, and that are inclusive of diverse stakeholders.

Under the overall theme of “sustainable agriculture and food systems,” the Thought for Food initiative’s call for proposals covers two strands, namely: Diverse agricultural production for more sustainable food systems and diets; and sustainable food processing for more sustainable and healthy diets.

Minimum per project is €200,000 over three years. Deadline for concept note submission at the end of this month, Feb. 29, 2016.

You must partner with Scientists from Agropolis Foundation Network and Fondazione Cariplo, which support the initiative, along with Fondation Daniel et Nina Carasso.
