The World Vegetable Center (WorldVeg) is seeking a regional director to manage its research and development work in Eastern and Southern Africa. The non-profit international research center is headquartered in Taiwan with five regional offices around the globe. WorldVeg conducts research and development programs that contribute to the potential of vegetables for healthier lives and more resilient livelihoods.
The regional director is responsible for variety of tasks that involve management, relationship-building and collaborating with others. The position is based in Arusha, Tanzania; the regional director reports to the director general.
Qualified applicants must have at least a master’s degree in an agricultural science, development or relevant area or at least 15 years of experience in coordinating research, development and resource management. See this posting for more information.
