The International Association of Agricultural Information Specialists (IAALD) Africa Chapter (www.iaald-africa.org) and the Information Training and Outreach Centre for Africa (ITOCA) (www.itoca.org) is soliciting proposals for papers and workshops/seminars to be presented at the 4th IAALD Africa Conference in Pretoria, South Africa, 30 May to 1 June 2018.

Papers should reflect and explore the conference theme, “Agricultural innovations, information and knowledge: Catalyzing the attainment of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and the African Union Agenda 2063.”

Workshops can be organized as 2/3-day pre-conference events (27 to 29 May) or half-day events (31 May). Since capacity development is a major component of the IAALD Africa Conference, organizers are looking for interactive workshops intended to convey knowledge or skills to agricultural information professionals.

Abstracts and workshop proposals are due at the end of this month, 31 October 2017.

Proposals for papers or workshops should be sent to Amanda Makwangwaidze (amanda@itoca.org cc. itoca@itoca.org) no later than 31 October 2017.
