The U.S. Agency for International Development is looking for a new division chief to head up human and institutional capacity development (HICD).
As a Supervisory Agricultural Development Specialist, the successful candidate will serve as the agency expert and coordinator in agricultural (HICD) activities, initiate new partnerships within the international agricultural and food security development area, and serve as the designated federal officer for the USAID Board for International Food and Agricultural Development (BIFAD).
The job requires at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include experience overseeing the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Human and Institutional Capacity Development programs in a developing country setting; and experience working with or overseeing the work of committees established under the Federal Advisory Committee Act.
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
