PMIL supported student Yaa Asantewaa Kafui Klu completed her doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Food Science from the University of Georgia in August. Yaa’s PhD studies were funded by PMIL, and the former PCRSP. As is required of USAID funded students, she has returned to her home country to work for the next two years.
Her dissertation is titled, “Survival of probiotics in peanut butter, and their influences on selected food borne bacterial pathogens in simulated gastrointestinal fluids.”
