The 2014 Georgia Peanut Tour opens this year with a special focus session on the USAID Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Peanut Productivity and Mycotoxin Control (PMIL). Thursday, September 16, 2014 the tour will feature presentations from PMIL Lead Scientist Peggy Ozias-Akins, Collaborator Bob Kemerait, and Assistant Director Jamie Rhoads.
The PMIL related topics include: Genomics-based breeding, Technologies to improve peanut production and processing, PMIL’s experience in Haiti, as well as a general overview of the USAID Peanut & Mycotoxin Innovation Lab.
