The University of Georgia’s Bulldog 100 list is comprised of businesses owned or operated by UGA alumni, and this year, the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) proudly has four honorees on the list. Among these honorees is FirstPage Marketing, a digital marketing firm co-led by CAES graduate Erica Palmisano (BSA ’04).
Erica would honestly share that FirstPage Marketing was birthed out of necessity. She and her two business partners met at a business that eventually closed, pushing them to take the leap and start their own venture. When FirstPage Marketing began in 2017, they quickly identified the intersection of their expertise and the needs of small business owners in the digital marketing space. Under Erica’s leadership, the company has continued to grow exponentially, excelling in website development, enhancing SEO to increase customer connections, and educating business owners on the value of digital marketing.
While FirstPage Marketing is based in Savannah, Georgia, Erica’s team and clients are spread across the United States, with plans to go international, including a client in the United Kingdom. The firm’s niche is service-based industries, ranging from eye doctors to salons and spas. Their expertise lies in leveraging SEO and digital content to drive customers to local businesses effectively. One of FirstPage Marketing’s recent points of pride is their partnership with the world leader in beauty, L’Oréal, providing resources for L’Oréal brand salon owners.
Reflecting on her time at UGA CAES, Erica shared that one of her most transformational experiences was thanks to an incredible professor, Dr. Kanemasu. He encouraged her to pursue a Certificate in International Agriculture after taking his course in International Agriculture, which led to Erica working for five months in Italy after graduation. Erica remarked, “It was so eye-opening, and then it led to an experience in my life that changed who I was and helped me prepare to be where I am.”
On February 21, 2025, Erica Palmisano and FirstPage Marketing, along with 99 other companies owned or operated by UGA alumni, will be recognized for their hard work at the Bulldog 100 event in Athens, GA. Ag Dawgs leading the way for businesses and communities to thrive—that’s our commitment.
