On Tuesday, May 21st the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences hosted a reception on the rooftop of Dentons in Washington D.C. for CAES Congressional Agricultural Fellows (fondly nicknamed “Ag Fellow”), alumni and friends. With over 40 people in attendance, the evening was filled with stories of alumni’s experiences and recommendations in D.C., some of whom had even been Ag Fellows themselves.

One of the first participants of the CAES Ag Fellow program, Christy Seyfert, was in attendance. Christy is now the Executive Director of Government Affairs for the American Soybean Association. Students got to hear from alumni and friends of the college about everything from the best restaurant and activity recommendations in the city to the best location to take in the Farm Bill markup later that week. It was a wonderful time to see Ag Dawgs come together under the Washington D.C. sky, and for students to realize that even in D.C. the Ag Dawg family is there for them.
