While results of any bioassay against diamondback moth primarily applies to the specific population tested, we do try and share results of our bioassays from time to time.
Below are the results of two recent bioassays conducted by Thomas Dunn (under the direction of Dr. David Riley). In both bioassays, Proclaim, Radiant, and Torac performed well, while Dibrom performed well in Grady County (was not included in the Brooks/Colquitt bioassay). As has been the case for some time now, the Group 28 insecticides (Coragen, Exirel, Harvanta) performed poorly. Resistance to this group appears to be widespread and stable. These are still valuable tools for other pests, but are not currently controlling diamondback moth larvae in out area.
