The U.S. Precision Livestock Farming conference committee announced on the last day of the 3rd U.S. Precision Livestock Farming Conference (Lincoln, NE; June 2-5, 2025) that the 4th U.S. Precision Livestock Farming Conference will be held at the University of Georgia, Athens, USA on May 24-27, 2027.
The U.S. Precision Livestock Farming (USPLF) conference (held every two years) is a key scientific event that brings together professionals in the field of precision livestock farming to discuss and advance the application of technology in livestock production. The conference serves as a platform for researchers, engineers, veterinarians, entrepreneurs, farmers, policymakers, and industry associations to collaborate and share knowledge on using technology to improve animal health, welfare, and productivity while minimizing environmental impact.
Conference location: The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel
Conference dates: May 24-27, 2027
The conference proposal received invaluable support from UGA CAES, UGA IIPA, GTRI Ag-Tech Research Program, and the USPLF conference selection committee!

Precision Livestock Farming involves applying technology directly to animal environments to monitor health, welfare, and production while reducing environmental impact. At its core, PLF uses tools that aid in animal care and inform management decisions. These tools have also helped design modern animal facilities and create phenotypic data for better genetic selection. Moreover, Precision Livestock Farming can be applied to a wide range of animals, including insects, fish, companion animals, and zoo animals.
Please feel free to reach us (Email: lchai@uga.edu) if you are interested to collaborate with the team or sponsor the conference! More conference information will be shared at UGA IIPA website.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the 4th USPLF conference at UGA in 2027!
