| Dr. Hong-Xiang Liu received her MD and MSc in Neurophysiology from Zhengzhou University and a PhD in Neuroscience from Peking University. Her early research investigated the roles of neuropeptides in spinal modulation of inflammatory and neuropathic nociception using rodent models. Over the past 25 years, her work has focused on developmental and regenerative bioscience, particularly the development and maintenance of taste papillae and taste buds using transgenic mouse models and cell, organ, and organoid-based culture systems. |
